BarKanada2 part DE/vierter Teil

• January 8th, 2009

Alright, I know this is Canada:

D and E are the most beautiful parts of this' month's edition. The song changed completely as soon as this violin (or viola?) was sneaking in, on the same split second as Lovelace is saying his thanx for all the letters to prison and how they uplift his spirit.

I couldn't have planned it: Tanya Tagak (probably overwhelmed with the pronunciation of that name) Gillis' sound piece gave my quote some dynamics that stunned me at times. Impossible to think I authored that. Feels more like I'm channeling something, pretty sick ...

2 hell with the manuscripts - long live intuition!

Thanx 4 reading and try listening 2 it - cinema for your mind is a fascinating thing ...

In terms of time management for this year I'd have only one comment: All we're still debating is, how 2 soften up the changes. If we act now, maybe they're gonna be easier 2 survive.

New nukes will be a disaster for an economically fragile period not to speak of the relatively irreversible and permanent damage and its "bonus" features which come with the highly radioactive and hot waste, vising its capabilities as potential material for A-bombs, and, actually at the beginning of that most decadent way of getting wasted, the mining of Uranium.

Show the government where ever u can: Profit has its reasonable and crucial limits.

Oh what a wonderful place this could be, if we made it one.

Ok, back 2 work! Thanx 4 letting me waste ur time

Hello again, and a very happy (and, hmmmmh, what would be most spectacular - more reasonable?) new year - sum news: 1. The second edition of BarKanada is scheduled to air SAT, 10th of January 2009, 11am-12pm EST - tune in live on the internet @ tonkuhle. de (click on "Live stream" in the right menu column). Human factors can be credited with full responsibility for the confusion here and the editors apologize. Oh well. Shit happens.

2. I found out, that Tonkuhle artists should be receiving royalties because of German GEMA paying out entitlement depending on how much played on Tonkuhle via fm - all they need is the playlist, and that I provide... for now u can look up those details here: rideauguide. blogspot. com

My apologies for any confusion,

but the second edition of my show BarKanada will air a week later,

SAT, JAN 10th, same time, 11am EST.

It didn't air today, as u probably already know (I just woke up) and I just got an email from my brother, technical director at tonkuhle.de:

The program director booked the slot twice and had to give the other production priority - shit happens. Just glad, it wasn't me... :P

My brother also told me, how well done he thought the show was, so that kinda consoled me a bit!

Hope u gonna tune in next week.... with best wishes and again my regret 4 the false alarm. Can't score if u don't try,... :P.

Bar Kanada - Musik from the inside!

Hello everybody

and thank u for contributing to my first show about Canadian musicians and the fantastic music constantly overflowing from this giant country.

My show "BarKanada" aired Wednesday, DEC 3rd, 10am EST, 4pm MEZ on the German community radio station Radio Tonkuhle (click on live stream). They broadcast in both live internet stream and fm license (also via cable). Below the audio is my playlist...

I am looking forward to having new as well as established artists on my show BarKanada - for now, I am publishing one hour every first Saturday (next Jan 3rd 09) of the month from 11am-12pm EST, 5-6pm MEZ. Deadline is the week before.

Please send your cd to Maren Molthan, BarKanada, PO Box 71, Merrickville, ON (no paper, please - epk's are ok). Info can be emailed to barkanada@gmail.com (ABSOLUTELY no attachments, unless we agree BEFORE your sending on an exception). Before coming to Ottawa or Wakefield for a gig, I would appreciate your invitation to possibly set up an interview or some live taping - after all, I'm trying to do a hip inside format...!

Priority lays with shows or artists coming to Germany.

Right now, there are no budgets whatsoever involved in the compensation for my work, if you'd like to donate, get in touch with me - helps to keep it going and no, I do not have a drug problem. In the long run I started offering this show to other radio stations in the public sector in Germany.

Constructive critique is welcome, hate mail goes straight to the Union For More Ergonomic Office Furniture. Have fun, pple, and once more thanx for talking to me.

See u next time, enjoy the festive season and rock on!

peace out MAREN
